Sculpture (Ren Delta)

Ren Delta is a one of the my oldest character that has one of the most tragic backstories. Delta's mother was one of many women that were taken to be used in an experiment. Delta was the first successful experiment that survived past her teen years. The mask she holds represents the monster that the scientist wanted her to become and what she will always struggle to control after what they did to her family.

This sculpture was created by creating a wire skeleton of the character and fabrics. After I placed large clay clumps on the skeleton I started carving out her body structure. Then I added small amounts of clay over her basic form to create her clothing.
